Pre-Engineered Fire Suppression System
Fire and Security Techniques environmentally friendly INERGEN® is harmless to humans, machines and equipment. INERGEN® inert gas fire suppression systems can be used in many different environments and is widely used across the world. Our many years of experience in working with INERGEN® allows us to advise our clients on the most effective fire protection solution.
By being involved in the early stages of the process, we can often save our customers more money by offering creative and innovative solutions that are value engineered.
The benefit of our Inergen® pre-engineered system is there is no need to run pipe-work within the area. This is because the Inergen® IG-541 fire suppression agent is released from the specially designed nozzle mounted on the cylinder. As a result, the site owner experiences the minimum of interruption and avoids clashes with other mechanical and electrical reticulation services. Inergen® is a composition of natural inert gases found in the atmosphere and thus there are no environmental issues relating to its potential discharge. The extinguishing principle behind fixed extinguishing systems with INERGEN® IG-541 is oxygen replacement.
This means that the oxygen content in the atmosphere at sea level of 20.9% is lowered to between 10-14%. At this oxygen level, common fires will die out. Where other extinguishing agents just lower the oxygen level, INERGEN® distinguishes itself by maintaining an oxygen level which ensures that the atmosphere within the room is conducive to support breathing. This means that the Inergen® IG-541 fire suppression system reduces the oxygen level in the room to below flame threshold but still retains sufficient oxygen for breathing.
The Fire Eater Inergen® 541 is UL approved and comes available in both 200 and 300 bar systems.
Inergen® only uses natural inert gases found in the atmosphere
Inergen® gas composition:
