Gas Cylinder Refill
FST fire system refills are done to maintain the quality of the final product and services that we provide. Only SANAS accredited Hydrostatic Testing facilities are used and a SANAS Pressure Test Certificate is issued with each pressure tested cylinder.
Fire and Security Techniques has long been an established recharge, revalidation and refilling facility for a wide variety of fire suppression systems in South Africa and throughout the African continent.
We offer a variety of gas cylinder refill solutions, including:
Assistance in purchasing a new fire suppression system (if the inspection fails to meet regulations or if the system is outdated, i.e. halon/CO2)
Recharge and refill of the current system (subject to Hydrostatic test and internal inspection)
FST Swap out solution (from 6L – 45L)
Servicing and repairing of fire suppression equipment (valves, discharge hoses, accessories)
OUR WORLD CLASS STANDARDS
Fire Safety Regulations:
– All inspections are to be conducted by SAQCC accredited technicians.
– All technicians/personnel involved shall comply and adhere to the OSH act/Pressure equipment regulations as well as OEM stipulations.
– All high-pressure vessels are tested according to SABS 1825.
OUR NORMAL ROUTINE
Fire Suppression System Inspection:
– Cylinders need to be inspected every ten years (internal inspection and hydrostatic test).
– If the system has been discharged, inspection at five years.
THE WAY WE DO THINGS
Our Procedure
1.
When a fire suppression system has reached its expiry date (10 years), the system is required to be hydrostatically tested.
2.
We ensure each cylinder is completely emptied and thoroughly inspected before it is refilled and pressurised.
3.
All filled cylinders are leak tested and wrapped.
4.
Cylinders are then stamped with a re-validation date, and a certificate (including the next re-validation date) will be supplied with the client invoice.
