Extinguishant Test & Interface Unit
R456,92
This unit is an interface between an extinguishant release control panel and the extinguishant detonator or solenoid.
Housed in a weatherproof enclosure is one PCB holding the test connector, LED indicators, and operational setting links. The fascia has a membrane indicating the product code and LED alarm descriptions. The unit also offers a shunt-selectable setting for use with either a solenoid or detonator. The power output connector to the extinguishant detonator is removable, thereby allowing for simple and safe testing of the complete fire system. The connector “in position” contact is monitored by the Technoswitch extinguishant release control panel, thus reminding the installer or maintenance technician to reconnect after testing.
TEC057B and TEC047 Control Panels: Power and Reset Functions
When the power output is active, TEC057B indicates “POWER ON,” and the Technoswitch TEC047 control panel shows no faults. If disconnected, the TEC047 displays a “FAULT” and the “POWER ON” LED goes off. The fire system can be safely tested with the “DISCHARGING” LED on when the 24 V for the detonator is active, lasting 5 seconds for the detonator and 5 minutes for the solenoid.
A manual reset feature can be toggled, signifying extinguishant release from the panel. To clear this fault, open the unit and activate the “manual” reset. The system then returns to standard mode. This reset feature is controlled via the TEC057B CPU board. After all panels are reset and power is reconnected, the “POWER ON” LED re-illuminates, and the control panel’s “Fault” resets.
